Dynamic Math Tool Video:
|
Description of Video: To the left, you have the opportunity to watch a quick demonstration on how to navigate through an interactive simulations website called, PhET. This is an educational tool that students can work through and have the opportunity to build their knowledge in not only any math topic but also science topics. This video can help to guide and teach students as well as parents and other teachers how to navigate and properly manipulate this tool. |
Description of 3D object:
To your right, you will see a 3D object I created in order for students to use as a learning tool within my classroom. This object is a twenty-sided, double consonant blend die. On each side you will see a different double consonant blend such as cl, st, fr, wh, and etc. This die will be used in my classroom as a tool for students to use during our ELA/Language Arts rotations or in their free time if they wish. Students will have the opportunity to roll the die three times, each time writing three words with that beginning double consonant blend. For example, if I roll and the die lands on bl, I would write three words starting with that double consonant blend (blend, blow, blue, bluff, bliss). |
